What is hyper threading technology?

Hyper-threading technology ki vajh se ham laptop me Kam time me. jyada kaam kar skate hai. Chaliye jante hai hyper threading technology kaise kaam karti hai.

Hyper threading ke vakt processor ka 1 physical core, 2 logical cores ki tarah work karta hai. Aur vo alag-alag kam ko ek sath karte hai. Yeh core physically bate nahi jate par logically bat jate hai. Matab 4 core wale processor me hyper threading hoti hai, 

toh wahi 4 core wala processor 8 cores ki tarah kaam karta hai. Hyperthreading wala processor, normal processor se 30% jyada fast hota hai.

Matlab ki, hyper-threading kiye huye 2 core wale processor ki speed, normal (without threading) 2 core wale processor se 30% jyada hoti hai.

Clock speed ko clock rate bhi kahte hai. Clock speed ko samajhne se pahle aapko samjna honga ki, clock cycle kya hoti hai?

Agr processor 1 second me, 1 clock cycle executes Karta hai toh uski clock speed 1 Hz hongi. Aise hi, processor 1 second me, 1 billion clock cycle execute Karta hai toh uski clock speed 1 GHz hongi.

Aasa karta hoon ki, aapko yah clock speed samajh me aayi hogi.

Ab aapne base clock, boost clock, Trbo boost aur Turbo core ke bare me suna hoga. Toh chaliye inke bare me baat karte hai.

What is base clock & boost clock

Boost clock, Turbo boost aur Turto core – yah tino ek hi hote hai. Intel wale boost clock ko Turbo boost kahte hai aur AMD wale boost clock ko Turbo core kahte hai.

Base clock matlab processor ki Normal clock speed. Aur boost clock matab processor ki high clock speed. Chalo, ek example se samajhta hoon….!

Agr mere pass “intel core i5” processor hai.. aur uski base clock 3.2 GHz aur boost clock 3.4 Ghz hai. Toh jab me mere laptop me, basic kaam karta hoo, ki jise karte vakt processor ke upar jyda load nahi pad raha. Toh tab meri clock speed base clock speed hongi.. matab 3.2 GHz hongi.

Par me laptop me kuch aisa kaam kar raha hoo, ki jisse processor pe load bahut jyada pad raha hai.. toh processor automatically uski clock speed badake 3.4 GHz Kar denga, Jisse processor smooth aur fast kaam kar sakega. Aur jb processer ke uparse load wala kam hat jayega toh processor automatically normal base clock me aa jayega.

Yaha par aapko ye janna bhi jaruri hai ki…. Processor jb boost clock me kaam karta hai, toh vo base clock ke mukable jyda fast kam karta hai… par sath me vo base clock ke mukable jyda power use karta hai, jisse battery jaldi khatm ho jati hai aur processor jyada garam ho jata hai.

Processor Overclock kya hai

Aam tor par log overclock apne processor ko jyada fast karne ke liye karte hai. Dekho, Mere pass “intel core i5” processor hai.. toh me usme jyda load wala kam karunga, toh processor boost clock me kaam karega.. Matlab 3.4 GHz pe kaam karega.

Par me, kuch aisa kam kar raha hoon, ki jise karne ke liye processor ko boost clock me bhi load pad raha hai.. Toh mera processor slow kaam karenge aur mujhe slow kaam pasand nahi hai..! 

Toh me laptops ke “bios” me ja kr apne processer ki clock speed manually bada dunga…!  Matab me 3.4 Ghz se 3.6 GHz kar dunga. Yah karne se mera laptop fast kam toh karenga, par uske sath jyada power bhi khayega aur jyada heat bhi janret karenga.

Kya overclock risk hai?

Ha, chalo example se samjte hai…. Agr me, meri clock speed 3.4 Ghz se 6 Ghz bada lunga. Toh meri yah bewkufi ke karan mera processor poora jal jayega…!  Is liye aam tor par overclock soch samajh ke karna chahiye ya nahi karna chahiye!

Vaise bhi overclock kuch hi laptops ke motherboard me support karti hai. Aur processor ki performance sirf uski clock speed pe depand nahi karti.

Generation

Ise sidhe example se samjte hai…..

Agr mere pass ek “intel core i5 1st generation processor hai aur dusra “intel core i5 2nd generation” processor hai, toh un dono me se 2nd generation wala processor best hoga. Matlab 1st generation ke mukabla 2nd  generation wala processor thoda fast honga.

Aise hi, 3rd generation wala, 2nd generation se thoda fast honga. Matlab latest generation wale processor ke mukable, uski pichli generation wale processor thode hi slow hote hai.

Cache memory

Yah choti si (lagbhag 5 MB ki) memory hoti hai, jo processor me lagi hoti hai. Yah RAM ke mukable jyda fast hoti hai.

Q. Can I upgrade my laptop processor?

Ans: jyadatar laptops ke processor ko aap upgrade nahi kar sakte.. kyonki jyadatar laptops ke processer, motherboard ke sath soldering kiye huye hote hai aur ham use desoldering karne ki kosis karte hai..

toh hamara laptop kharab bhi ho sakta hai.  Ab baat kare ki.. konse processer ko upgrade kar sakate hai?

Toh ham LGA aur PGA socket type ke processer ko upgrade kar sakte hai… Par use ham sirf same generation me hi upgrade kar sakte hai.. matlab ki,  “intel i3 4th generation” ko ham sirf “intel i5 4th generation”, “intel i7 4th generation”

aur “intel i9 4th generation” me hi upgrade kar sakte hai.. Kyoki yah LGA aur PGA types ke processor motherboard ke saath soket se jude hote hai aur alag-alag generation me soket ki size alag-alag hoti hai.

Aur BGA type ke processor ko aap nahi upgrade kar sakte. Ab baat kare ki kaise jane ki processor BGA hai ya LGA hai ya PGA hai!
